XTREME RIDE DAYS

 

 

Wakefield Park offers a unique opportunity to ride your bike on a real race track.  Wakefield Park and Xtreme Ride Days have teamed up to offer Wakefield Park Xtreme Ride Days throughout the year.  The days have been uniquely designed to cater for all abilities and all types of bikes from Harley’s to the race bread R1.

Xtreme Ride days only allow a maximum of 25 riders per group so people  pre-registration is a must.

2013 weekday rideday fee $169.00 in GST; weekend fee $179.00 in GST. Please note there are a number of excellent discount packages if you book either three or six ride days in advance, please see registration form attached above for details.

Ride days are exciting on track experiences for all riders no matter if this is your first day at the track or you’ve been racing for 20 years. This is the place to experience the thrill of testing yourself and your motorbikes capabilities in a safe controlled environment.

Groups and Sessions: Wakefield Park Raceway Xtreme Ride Days will cater for all riders regardless of experience and on all types of bikes. Groups will be graded into similar skill and speed levels, each group will have a maximum of 25 riders.

Xtreme Ride Day groups are:
Group 1: Novice – New track day / Slow
Group 2: Intermediate – Occasional track day / Medium
Group 3: Advanced – Experienced track day / Medium – Fast
Group 4: Racer – Experienced Racer / Fast
Each group will be allocated 7 x 15 minute sessions, this can vary depending on size of groups and or incidents that might happen on track.
Riders are asked to sign on at the circuit between 7.30am and 8.30am. Rider’s briefing will be conducted at 8.30am at the base of the control tower.
Xtreme Ride day participants will be able to utilize at no extra cost the powered carports at Wakefield Park Raceway.

Requirements:
All riding gear must be in good condition with no obvious faults or structural damage.
1 or 2 piece full leather suite (must be zip together)
DriRider or equivalent jacket and pants with body armour is acceptable for Novice group riders only.
Full face Helmet in good condition with a current Australian Standards Sticker
Motorcycle Riding Gloves in good condition
Motorcycle boots (above angle) in good condition
A back protector is recommended
Your motorcycle will need to be in a well maintained and in good condition to be allowed on the track.

Wakefield Park Raceway Xtreme Ride Days will provide water, fruit, sunscreen and insect repellent. There is also a great sit down café which is open during the day which sells both cold and hot drinks, various snacks and some excellent hamburgers and meals. When you come to Wakefield Park make sure you have one of the cafes excellent coffee’s.

Other new services on the day:
We usually are able to provide a tyre fitting service most ride days, it would be best to check with us a couple of days before your ride day to make sure we will have the service available on the day your attending though. Wakefield Park Raceway does sell fuel, they have a high octane unleaded racing fuel available at the circuit.
