Drift practice days allow competitors to drift their cars in a controlled environment.
Any drifting taking place at the venue must be done in accordance with the rules that have been implemented from a track management perspective. Any breach of these rules will result in your day being concluded and you will be asked to leave the venue. These rules can be found at
Noise restrictions apply at Wakefield Park.
No competition vehicles should be started before 8am except to unload and to be taken to scrutineering.
Selected vehicles will undergo a static noise testing procedure before being permitted to enter the circuit.
If, during use of the circuit, a vehicle registers above 95 dB(A) (measured at 30 m) the vehicle will be black flagged and removed. The vehicle will only be permitted to re-enter the circuit if it passes a compulsory static noise test. A mechanical rectification must be undertaken before the test is attempted.
If the test is passed but the vehicle exceeds 95 dB(A) at 30 m on a second occasion, it will be excluded from any further participation that day.
The sound measuring equipment at Wakefield Park is considered judge of fact and its readings/results are not open for discussion.
TRACK EDGES: — Whilst we appreciate that an integral part of drifting is having the vehicle sliding sideways, it must be in control and within the marked track boundaries. If you know your car is about to or IS on the edge, get off the power and regain control back onto the track proper. Continual exceeding of the track limits will result in removal from the track and your day concluded.
DRIVER ATTITUDE: — We are all about providing a safe, fun environment for all drifters to attend and have a great day. Please respect the venue, respect the staff that run it and ensure that your behaviour is conducted in a way that does not jeopardise the future of drifting at Wakefield Park.
The full Drift Practice Day rules are available here. PLEASE READ THESE RULES BEFORE ATTENDING A DRIFT PRACTICE DAY.
Cancellations – if you need to cancel your booking, please notify the Wakefield Park office by 7:00am on the day of the event you are attending. You will be issued with a voucher entitling you to entry at a future event (must be redeemed within Twelve months).
