First time to the track?

Welcome, you’re about to participate in your first track day! We’re sure you will love your time at Wakefield Park Raceway so here is some important information to help you along your track day journey.

How to enter: There are two ways you can enter our Wakefield Park Track Days. The first way to book is by pre-booking online via this website under drop down tab enter events online; pre-booking will save you money and time. The second way to book is by turning up on the day and heading to our sign-on room, this will cost you more. Please see our pricing tab below for exact price differences.

What to bring: We suggest bringing your car for starters, ankle to wrist to neck clothing, a helmet, your race licence and if you don’t have one a day licence is available from $35 via the AASA website.

Don’t stress if you cant work out the Licences you can do it on the day with the help of Wakefield Park Staff.

Driver training: At Wakefield Park Track Days we outsource our driver training to our preferred providers. We suggest having some driver training at some point but it’s not necessary to get on track for the first time. You will need to book this via our preferred providers. Please see the below list of third-party providers.

What to do when you arrive at track: We understand the first time arriving to a new place can be a little daunting so let’s make it nice and easy for you. On arrival you will drive through our main gate, to your left will be rows of carports. You are welcome to park in any available carport as on Wakefield Park Track Days these are offered for free. Once you are parked you can make your way over to our Sign-On Room which will be on the right-hand side as soon as you drive the gates with a big sign out the front.

If you get lost there will be plenty of friendly people to help you. Once you arrive at the Sign-On Room our friendly staff will sign you on and advise you of the drivers briefing and the next steps to take. Its that simple!

Head to the sign on room. Sign on from 8am to sign necessary documentation, please bring valid AASA or Motorsport Australia licence with you.

Weekend Track days sign on opens at 8am and closes at 11am, if you are planning to arrive after 11am please phone office in advance 4822 2811 to notify of your late arrival or head to our Wakefield Park Café for further assistance. Its not a problem if you require a late entry


You will need a AASA (Australian Auto-Sport Alliance) or Motorsport Australia speed licence.

You can pre purchase a day licence from the Australian Auto-Sport Alliance (AASA) website for $35.00.




$85.00 per single garage.

These can be booked online with your entry or on the day during the sign on process.


Carports are free on our Wakefield Park Track Days.

Feel free to park in any vacant carport on arrival.

Booking on the day of the event:

There is no timing available on a Wakefield Park Track Day.  


Groups will be determined by speed, when entering for the event we will ask for your lap times, track experience and skill level. Once we have this information, we can allocate you to a group based on this information.


Cars grouped on speed and skill levels, Wakefield Park’s groups will be a mixture of race cars and standard or modified street cars. Cars will be grouped to ensure minimal traffic concerns and everyone is comfortable when circulating the circuit.


All open wheeled cars, formula ford, formula vee, radical, aussie racers, legends formula 3 & 4.


An accredited driver trainer with necessary qualifications is required and will be placed in the group which their student is participating in.
Driver trainer must be present in the car at all times.

Superkart is a form of motorsportroad racingin which the class is a racing vehicle sized like a kartbut with several characteristics more strongly associated with open-wheel racing cars.

Any group under a minimum of 3 are subject to cancellation by Wakefield Park management.


All participants must wear wrist-to-neck-to-ankle clothing e.g. Long sleeve shirt, long pants, enclosed shoes and a helmet that meets Australian standard 1698 or higher.


Café open on site from 7am – 2pm

Coffee, Bacon & Egg Rolls, Ham Burgers, Cold Drinks and much more available.


There is 98 fuel onsite for sale.

Please contact main office and one of our friendly staff will assist you with purchasing fuel.


Wakefield Park aim to provide as much track time as possible on the day. Due to many factors including break downs accidents and liquid spills, we can’t guarantee how many sessions you will receive.

The normal amount of sessions with these minimal interruptions are 5 to 7 with each session being approximately 10 to 15 minutes in length.

You will go home tired after a day at Wakefield Park!


Drivers briefing will be held at the base of the control tower at approximately 9:00am.

You will be told the general rules of the track and be able to ask any questions you may have.


You can have more than one driver for your car however there will be an additional charge of $50.00 per driver. That must share the same session.

The option to have the car in two sessions is available if you wish to share with another driver,. If you wish to do this, a full charge for the second driver is required.


There will be PA announcements to notify of the start and end of each session which can be heard in the carports and garages.

During your allocated session time. Overall track activity is from 9.30am – 4.30pm.

Gates open at 7am and close at 5.30pm.

Drivers & passengers are allowed from ages 14 and up. 

Refunds will be provided for people cancelling 7 days prior to their selected event. If it is less than 7 days prior to the event, there will be no refund available. All Refunds will incur a booking cancellation fee.

Re booking an event – if you require the need to move your booking, you are required to inform the Wakefield Park office by COB 3 days before the event you are attending. For example, Monday event, requires notification by COB of the prior Thursday. You will be issued with a voucher entitling you to an entry of the same event in the future (must be redeemed within twelve months).

No race car engines are allowed to be started before 8am. Standard/Street cars are okay to start their engines before 8am.

Noise restrictions apply at Wakefield Park.

If, during use of the circuit, a vehicle registers above 95DBD measured at 30m the vehicle will be black flagged and removed.

The vehicle will only be permitted to re-enter the circuit if it passes a compulsory static noise test.

A mechanical rectification must be undertaken before the test is attempted.

If the test is passed but the vehicle exceeds 95DBA at 30m on a second occasion it will be excluded from any further participation that day.

The sound measuring equipment at Wakefield Park is considered judge of fact and its reading/results are not open for discussion.
